Title |
Letters of Assedation by Johnne Mur of Auchindrane whereby he set one-half of his 20 shilling land of old extent of Tua-stane- cors with sike and meadow, which he holds in feu from the burgh of Aire for 10 (? 16) shillings (Cf. No. GD86/138), lying in the Burrofeild of the said burgh, within the sheriffdom of Air, for 19 years from Whitsunday 1565, to the occupier Adame Johnnesone, son and heir of the late James Johnnesone, burgess of Aire, whom he also received and admitted as kindly tenant in consideration of a certain sum of money: Paying therefor yearly 30 shillings Scots of maill to the granter and 8 shillings Scots of feu-maill to the burgh of Aire, and providing that should the grantee die within 15 years without heirs of his body, the person succeeding to him should refund and pay to the granter the sum of 50 merks.
