Title |
Procuratory of Resignation by Mr. John Spens of Condy, constituting David Arnot of that Ilk, George Arnot, Andrew Arnot and Walter Arnot his procurators, for resigning his lands of Kylmukis Eister, lying in the barony of Kylcunquhair, regality of St. Andrews and sheriffdom of Fyffe, and the lands of Colestoun with pertinents lying within the said sheriffdom, into the hands of John Wemys of that Ilk, as superior, in favour of the resigner and Jean Arnot, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment, and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, the lawful and nearest heirs of the resigner whomsoever. Instrument of Resignation under the hand of Cuthbert Reche, notary public, narrating that David Arnot of that Ilk, in terms of the above Procuratory of Resignation, resigned the lands of Kilmwkis Eister and Colistoun into the hands of the superior, who thereupon delivered the said lands to him as attorney for the said Mr. John Spens and spouse. At the Hall of Vemys 7th August 1561. Witnesses Stephen Dwdingston of Sandfuirde, David Auchmwttie of Hawhill, Mr. James Vemys of Lathokir, James Vemys of Caskybarian, David Stewart, rector of Arskin and David Balvaird.
