Description |
Witnesses to the Charter of Sale, Michael Schaw, John Wemys of Pitgrunze, Alexander Cheyne and James Harlaw, notary public. Witnesses to the Charter of Confirmation, David Berclay of Cullerny, James Moncreiff of Eistir Rynd, John Swyntoun in Coittis, James Wemys in Petforthy, Patrick Wemys of Pitblay and John Wemys of Pitgrungy. The Charter of Confirmation is dated at Eister Elcho 28 November 1557.
The Charter is subscribed by the granter whose seal is also appended. See `Macdonald's Scottish Armorial Seals', No. 2867. |
