Title |
Letters of Reversion by Johne Buchquhannane, second son of Alexander Buchquhannan in Ibirt, granting that an annual rent of ten merks Scots disponed to him furth of the lands of Bofunnyng Eister and Wester, lying in the sheriffdom of Striviling, by Johne Cunynghame of Drumquhassill, should be redeemable on payment of 100 merks Scots upon the high altar of the parish kirk of Drummen, on forty days warning. Witnesses, Thomas Buchquhannane, younger of Gartbet, Alexander Buchquhannane in Ibirt, Andro Mcferlane, son of the late Robert Mcferlane, and John Buchquhannan, notary public.
The granter subscribes with his hand on the pen led by the said John Buchquhannan. The seal of Alexander Buchquhannane in Ibirt is used by the granter:- A fess between three (boars?) heads erased. Foliage at top and sides of shield. Legend (Goth. 1. c. ) S' alexander ba'quhamen. |
