Title |
Obligation by Robert, Lord Maxwell, whereby, on the narrative that Freyr William Sinkclair, warden of the Freir Minoris of Drumfres, and the convent thereof, with consent of Freir Johne Fergussoune, master provincial of the whole Order of Freir Minoris within Scotland, and of "wenerable religious men and wardanis of the placis of the said haill religioun", had sold to him in feu-farm one-half of an acre and one-half of a rood of land of the east part of their yard and orchard lying within the burgh of Drumfres contiguous to his place and tenement thereof, he bound himself to pay yearly to the said warden and convent and to their successours for the annualrent thereof the sum of 4 merks Scots and 20 merks Scots of "entres syluyr".
