Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of John Makneill, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that John Robesone, procurator for William Scott, indweller in the town of Leytht, on the north side of the Water thereof, and Mariot Scott, his spouse (conform to Letters of Procuratory in his favour dated at Leytht 20th November l550) passed to the three acres of land formerly pertaining to George Thomsoune, with pertinents, lying within the bounds of the port of Newhewin, within the sheriffdom of Edinburgh, between the lands of the late Thomas Hoppringill on the west, the lands of the late John Craufurde of Bonyngtoun on the east and south, and the public highway on the north, and there resigned one-half of said lands into the hands of Robert Gib of Carriberis, the queen's principal bailie of the port and lands of Newhewin, who thereupon gave sasine thereof to George Millar, attorney for and in name of John Wardlaw. Done on the said lands on 20th November 1550 |
