Title |
Discharge by Dame Margret Howm, prioress of North Berwik, "wyth our weill adwised consell & auditouris of our cownpts", discharging Alexander Howme, her brother german, of his intromissions with the goods, ferms, corns, cattle etc. of the abbey, both in Fyf and Lowdiane, for the crop and terms of 1547, and acknowledging that she is due to him "allewin scor of pwndis & sd mone" Scots to be paid within 8 days after demand. Authenticated by her seal of office and by the subscription, "Dam Margret Howme priores wytht my hand at the pen writtin be Schir Cudbert Hynd chaplan". The date has been left blank but circa December 1547 |
