Title |
Letter of Reversion by Johne Culquhoun of Lus, knight, whereby, notwithstanding that Androw Cwnighame of Drumquhassill had sold to him an annualrent of 50 merks furth of his lands of Drumquhassill with their pertinents lying in the earldom of Levenax and sheriffdom of Striweling, he bound himself on the said Androw Cwnighame or Elesabet Campbell, lady Erskin, their heirs or assignees, or any one on their behalf, paying to him 100 merks to discharge 10 merks of said annualrent, and on the complete payment of the sum of 500 merks contained in the letters of indenture entered into with lady Erskin to discharge said annualrent in favour of the said Androw Cwnighame. He further bound himself not to absent himself from the receipt of said sum on receiving eight days warning thereto, and should he do so, Cwnighame might pass to the altar of St. Sebestiane situated within the parish kirk of the burgh of Dunbertanne and there "nomer and tell" said sum as specified in the letters of indenture, and thereafter have full and free regress and ingress to said annualrent of 50 merks.
