Title |
Letter of Reversion by Mr. Henry Lauder, burgess of Edinburgh, narrating that although Alexander Dalmahoy of that Ilk (after resignation made in his hands by Henry Cantis, procurator specially constituted), had infeft him in the 62/3 oxengang of land, extending to 10 merks worth of land, with the pertinents, lying on the east side of the town and territory of Dalmay within the sheriffdom of Edinburgh, he, nevertheless, bound himself on receiving payment of 200 merks Scots upon the altar of Saint James the Apostle, situated within the College Kirk of Sanct Geill of Edinburgh, (to the receipt of which he was to receive 8 days warning) to resign said lands in favour of Dalmahoy; and that should he absent himself from the receipt thereof, Dalmahoy was to have full regress and ingress to said lands, the money being consigned in the hands of the treasurer or dean of gild of the burgh of Edinburgh for the time.
