Scottstarvett, John Scott [of Gorrinberrie], and Patrick Scott [of Thirlestane], addressed to the Countess of Buccleuch protesting as tutors under her father's will against her 'pretendit' marriage, its great disadvantage and prejudice to the honour of her person and dignity of the family. circa 1659. Petition to the King by the wife of Sir George Curror asking that her husband having been active in suppressing the `late insurrection in the west of Scotland' and from 1648 in the King's service suffered hardship and loss of his fortune he might be recommended to Lord Lauderdale for a share of the estates of the rebels. In dorso: `The Petition of the Duchesse of Monmouth's little Miss'. At Whitehall 8 Nov. 1669. His Majesty refers the Petition to Lauderdale. A pencil note on the Petition thus `This belongs to Wm. Fraser'.
