Extract registered backbond by Archibald Muir, merchant burgess of Edinburgh, in favour of Albert James Howat, merchant burgess of Glasgow, and Alexander Muir, merchant in Killmaronoch (Kilmarnock), executors testamentar to the deceased Adam Muir, merchant in Killmaronoch, for their assignation of bond of 100 merks by the deceased James Muir of Thorntoune to the said Adam, to enable the said Archibald to raise an apprising and adjudication against the Lairds of Thorntoune for payment of debts owed to him.
