Title |
(1) Security of corroboration by James Mure of Thorntoun, son of the deceased James Mure of Thorntoun, in favour of John Dickie, notary in Kilmarnock, recognising the validity of the obligation of 17 August 1652, made by the deceased James Mure of Thorntoun with Allan Dunlop of Craig as cautioner, in favour of John Broun, maltman in Kilmarnock, of the sum of 500 merks, which obligation was assigned to John Brown, 12 October 1669. James Mure, as security for the said obligation undertakes to infeft the said John Dickie in an annualrent of £31 2s. in the lands of Thorntoun during the non-payment of the said obligation. 25 March 1671. (2) Assignation by the said John Dickie in favour of Archibald Mure, merchant in Edinburgh, of the said obligation and bond of corroboration, on payment of the sum of £518 6s. 8d., being the principal and annualrent of the same. 6 December 1679. (3) Renunciation and discharge by the said John in favour of the said Archibald, now of Thorntoune, of the sum contained in the said obligation and of the annualrent contained in the said bond of corroboration. 5 October 1688. |
