(1) Letter from the Earl of Glasgow to the Laird of Caddell about his servant, and declaring, "I am most earnestly concerned in honor that Sir John Fergusson should be elected for the shyre of Air and my reason is the Duke of Queensberry my good friend is to be impeached and I and all other good men should doe our best to serve His Grace, considering what he did for us and the church of Scotland last year". Edinburgh, 10 July 1704. (2) Letter as above regarding Caddell's servant, Boyd. (3) Letter from the Earl of Glasgow to [John Cuninghame of Caddell] declaring, "I am extremely uneasy for your preengadgement bott I would earnestly beg yow would stay at home".
