Title |
Copy of the offer by Thomas Watt, innkeeper in Irvine, and William Young, coalmaster, late in Irvine and now at Carse, to the trustees for the turnpike road from Irvine to Kilmarnock, to discharge the said trustees of the sum of £52 6s. 11d. of the contracted price for repairing and upholding the said road which would have been due if the said road had been in the state of repair mentioned in the contract, and also to discharge them of any sum due to the said Thomas and William for upholding the small bridges and syvers of the said road, providing that the said trustees took the said road, bridges, and syvers off the hands of the said Thomas and William, in their present condition. |
