Bundle of letters from Thomas Adair, WS to Col. John Cuninghame of Caddell on the subject of teinds: (1) Letter acquainting the Col. with the progress of his teind process. 27 May 1807. (2) Letter informing the Col. that the Teind Court had pronounced decree in his favour in his proof against the Earl of Eglinton and that his teinds were fixed as shown. 25 June 1807. (3) Letter enclosing his account for legal services from November 1806 to August 1807, 10 November 1807, and receipt for the same, dated 26 November 1807. (4) Letter enclosing a copy of the rectified locality of the stipend of Ardrossan. 5 December 1807. (5) Letter regarding the decreet of locality and the possibility of the minister of Ardrossan forcing the Col. to pay his stipend according to the interim decree. 24 March 1808. (6) Letter, 13 July 1808, enclosing 2 letters: (i) Letter from John Duncan, minister of Ardrossan, to Col. Cuninghame, on the necessity to obtain a rectified decreet of locality for his stipend extracted and a horning thereupon. 21 June 1808. (ii) Note from Mr. Irving to Thomas Adair that the decree of locality of Ardrossan had been extracted and the minister furnished with a horning. 13 July 1808. |
