Description |
(1) Account due by Col. Cuninghame to the said Earl for cash paid to John Duncan, minister of Ardrossan, October 1804 to August 1808.
(2) Letter from George Reid, factor to the said Earl, to Col. Cuninghame, informing him that the minister of Ardrossan had got decreet modification and locality extracted with horning thereon and asking the Col. to suggest the best method of settling the shares of the stipend. Enclosed is a draft of 2 letters both dated 29 May 1804, Carmelbank, one in reply to the above stating that the Col. wished to hear from his agent in Edinburgh first, and the other to Thomas Adair asking if there was no way to have the burden imposed by the decreet altered. 24 May 1804.
(3) Letter from the said George Reid to Col. Cuninghame stating, "in consequence of .... your readyness to pay the Augmented Stipend advances by the Earl of Eglinton to the minister of Ardrossan I now send the bearer with State and Discharge for the same". 26 October 1804.
(4) Letter as above enclosing a letter from the said Earl, dated 11 November 1804, Eglinton Castle, regarding plans for declaring the school [at Kilmaurs] vacant and having a schoolmaster chosen. 11 November 1804.
(5) Account due by the said John Cuninghame to the said Earl for the Augmented Stipend due from his lands of Caddel 1797-1803 and receipt for the same by George Reid, dated October 26 1804.
(6) Letter from said George to the said Col. with a copy of the decreet of locality of the stipend of Ardrossan. 30 June 1808. |
