Title |
(1) Assignation, dated 3 December 1662, by George Montgomrie of Netherbruimlands and William Fullarton, wright, burgess of Irvine, as executors of the deceased Janet Weir, relict of Hugh Lyn, merchant burgess of Irvine, in favour of George Garven, writer burgess of Irvine, of the following obligations, in return for a certain sum of money: (a) Allan Dunlop, younger of Craig, and deceased James Moore of Thorntoun in favour of Janet Weir of the sum of 350 merks. 23 October 1657. (b) Thomas Galt in Longdreghorne as principal and James Galt, smith burgess of Irvine as cautioner, in favour of Janet Weir, of the sum of 100 merks. 20 October 1657. (c) Thomas Garner, in favour of Janet Weir, of the sum of 100 merks. 22 October 1657. (2) Precept upon decreet raised at the instance of George Garven against James Mure of Thorntoun as son and apparent heir to the deceased James Mure of Thorntoun, for payment of the sums and annualrent contained in (1a). 9 July 1669, with execution of the same dated 1 November 1669. (3) Security of corroboration by the said James Mure of the said obligation binding himself to infeft the said George in an annualrent of £26 out of the lands of Thorntoun until the said obligation be paid. 25 March and 5 June 1671. (4) Precept on decreet of poinding at the instance of the said George against the lands of Thorntoun for non-payment of the annualrent in (3). 2 November 1672. |
