Title |
(1) Letter from Archibald Crawfurd to Margaret Cunningham, daughter of John Cuninghame of Caddell, declaring that since she had consented to marry him he would settle upon her, in the event of his predeceasing her, a yearly rent of what lands he had, and, if he survived his father, a jointure of £50 yearly all her life, 1 August 1739, Cartsburn. (2) Liferent right by Thomas Crawfurd of Cartsburne and the said Archibald, now his only son, in favour of the said Margaret, now spouse of Archibald, of 500 merks yearly from the lands of Cartsburne and Crawfurdsdyke in the parish of Greenock and sheriffdom of Renfrew. Dated 15 September 1739. (3) Liferent right and settlement by the said Archibald in favour of the said Margaret, infefting her in his tenements of land in Glasgow, and a jointure of £50, on his decease, as promised in (1). Dated 16 February 1741. (4) Liferent right and assignation by the said Archibald in favour of the said Margaret, of an annuity of £50 out of the lands of Cartsburn and Crawfurdsdyke, and all his moveable goods on his decease, provided she renounce nos (2) and (3). Dated 30 May 1754. (5) Sasine following on the above. Dated 30 May 1754 and registered P.R.S. Renfrew, 4 June 1754. |
