Description |
Dated at Strabogie, Misselroy Camp, Eyndhoven, St. Audenroy. 1746, March 29. Strabogie.
Gives account of wounds received by lt. Alexander Campbell, Glenure's brother, at Keith.
1748, August 7.
Has been given an ensigncy in Lord John Murray's regiment, but does not think there will be much financial gain, as the three youngest ensigns do not get any. Relates particulars of proposed duel between Captain James Campbell of Stronslany and Lt. McLean of Gingerloch which resulted in both parties being brought before a court martial, broke for cowardice and dismissed from the army |
