Description |
Dated at Island Stalker, Airds. 1732, April 26. Denying that he and Lord Monzie have concerted to secure the teinds in Invernahyle's possession for a new erection in the parish of Lismore. "What we spoke was that if Invernahyle must in all events loss them teinds, better secure them if possible for the parish rather than let them go to any other, and in this case a new erection was thought most eligble..."
1735, July 14. Narrating arrangement with Achnaird for the people of Lismore to work "at the respective Harbours as agreed," including the quays of Fyart and Achnacroish.
1736, March 11. Intimating that he has ordered three half barrels to be sent for packing recipient's salmon, so that they may be sent to market in the brig.
1736, June 4. Seeking loan of £40 on behalf of Lady Lochbouy for a trip to Edinburgh.
1737, August 1. About various matters including the shortage of salmon barrells; and the visit of the Lord President [Forbes] and others to the Isles. |
