Regarding his wish to get married. "My resolution is to setle as soon as possible finding it prejudiciall to my interest to continue long in the condition I am in, and as I rely very much upon your advise I send you this express hopeing you'll be so good as to tryst me att Kingerloch's house in Arihaurie ... I do not incline any mortall should know the design of our meeting ..."
