Description |
Concerning the price to be paid by the workmen at 'the Castle' for meal supplied to them while they were there. Dated at Edinburgh Castle.
'I have ordered Barcaldin to dispens with the workmen, excep such as ye keep for burning of lyme, and furnishing timber therto and to the saw mill ... deliver the keys of the Castle to Barcaldine when ye have quate [quit] the measone work ...'
With a letter 1696, June 9 to John Clerk, "girnal man" from Andrew Christy [mason], passing an order [from the Earl of Breadalbane] to supply Thomas Wilamson and his man with meal "the tim ther wining sclets for my Lord's use". Enclosed: 1696, May 29. Receipt for meal, subscribed by Hew Campbell. |
