Dated at Edinburgh.
The Privy Council has ordered the writer to raise 600 men to go to Dunstaffnage to join Major Ferguson there. Sir Colin Campbell of Ardkinglass will meet recipient at Inveraray on the 12th inst. to arrange for raising the men. "We hope by your active concurrance in this to gett the Shyre exeimed from there resting publick burdeins, and those that will not concurr they may expect litle favor of this nature, and more trowble for there dissobedience, than at present they may apprehend .... |
