Thinks Glenure's children should be sent north; asks if there have been any discoveries against the barbarians in his neighbourhood and any news of Allan Breck (12 August 1752).
Has seen James Stewart's speech, and is glad the government is going to pay the expenses of the trial, `whoever suceeds to Glenure's title and Estates, It will always give me pleasure to see him enjoy the same, in ane opulent and free way' (8 January 1753)
