Description |
1825, October 30. Disagrees with proposed motion that Mr. MacNeill of Oakfield should be removed from office as convenor of county, asks for Barcaldine's presence and support at forthcoming meeting
1831, December 27. Gives his reasons for disagreeing with Barcaldine 'on the subject of the local interests of Argyllshire'; feels that only a united county could make an address to king and petition to two houses of parliament 'for the redress of these local injuries intended to be inflicted upon us by the Reform Bill'.
The other letters are in the third person, inviting Barcaldine to balls and dinners at Inveraray
Dated at Inveraray, Ardincaple Castle. |
