1823, January 3. Intends to stand as M.P. for Argyll; is sorry that recipient's sentiments are not as favourable as writer had hoped, but will be glad of his vote.
1824, March 16. Regrets that Barcaldine intends to vote for the other party, but hopes that they may still meet as friends.
