Description |
1811, December 24. He took Mrs. Campbell's servant to Mr. Blair who set the dislocated collar bone at once; Mr. Blair although above 80, understands the cure of dislocations and broken bones very well although he does not claim skill in other matters; he has left for Callander where he resides; his charges seldom exceeding 2s or 2/6, his practice was very considerable; enquires if Mrs. Campbell and her son would be willing to support a doctor in the neighbourhood, as Dr. Anderson, younger, Inveraray, might be persuaded to settle if enough families would subscribe a yearly sum, £60-70, exclusive of medicines Dated at Oban. |
