4. 1784, September 20. Re their marches along the east knowes of Drumlockie; proposes a very strong ditch and a green dyke of long thick turf which is to be had upon the spot, with a hedge upon the top, the whole to cost about £25, while a stone fence would cost upwards of £60.
5. 1792, January 20. Re sale of estate of Kincardine. Feels price Barcaldine is asking is exorbitant when the soil is poor, most of rent arising from wood only and 'the Tennants in general mean, fluctuating, and ignorant' Dated at Gleneagles. |
