Description |
1784, June 27. Encloses a petition to Commissioners appointed to enquire into the losses and services of the American loyalists, showing that her husband was at battle of Bunkers Hill, and she and her children captured in a sloop belonging to her husband on their way from Boston to Halifax.
1786, March 22. Wishes money to start a shop in Glasgow to deal in teas.
3 January 1787. Thanks Barcaldine for having her daughter, Lucy, to stay, but 'this being the throng season with the Person that Lucy was learning the mantumaking Business with, and as the time she had leave to be absent from it is expired, I wish her to return'
1792-3. Dated at London. Repeated requests for her money still in his hands.
