11 March 1789. 'There was last Monday a very Grant Ellumination on the Kings being quite restored to health, I assure you it was quite ellegant and the[y] say the other parts of the town were, no less so especially the Lord Provests House in Princess Street.'
n.d. 'Thus is great deal of noncence I have wrote you but I hope you will make an allounce for one that has only sence at times as yow say your-self.'
