Dated at London, Taymouth, Perth. 23 May, 1789. Soliciting his vote for Drummond of Megginch, 'The shealing of Tomcherin and the Half of Tomchrocher with you apply for, in favor of your Brother, is but a small return for the unconditional support you have given me, both by your own vote, and the easy terms upon which you disposed of your superiorities in favor of my friends'.
1790, January 23, 1791, December 4. Regrets he cannot give Barcaldine an additional farm, Tomcherin and Tomchrocher both being occupied.
1793, May 14. Promises to appoint James Campbell, younger, as quarter master in one of his battalions of fencibles in room of Lt. Hugh Campbell, Barcaldine's brother.
