21 May, 1787. Wishes a tack for a year or two of an island off Lismore for a mutton park, at £5, 'which I may perhaps think its worth upon tryal, but I am convinced the tenants never made near so much of it, at the same time, I well know from experience that tenants always overvalue what they are deprived of, and undervalue what they enjoy'
