4 June 1742. Is to sail for Minorca with the first fair wind; Lord Glenorchy has done all he could for writer; has had a letter from Lord Monzie, containing much parental advice, 'I have said all that my stomach which begins to turn will allow me to say'.
n.d. Minorca. 'The whole fleet under Mr. Mathews command are now in Mahon harbour, they have had an engagement with the French and Spaniards, they have not hurt one another much'
