3 December 1758. Wishes advice whether his daughter, Annie, should marry Glenno; agrees that it would keep him out of other hands, and she might do worse.
28 August, 1776. Re Clochombie's conduct, 'who has behaved with me very unlike a gentleman, I don't despair to have it in my power some day or other to return him the compliment' (28 August, 1776) |
