Description |
1755-69, 1782. Dated at Edinburgh, etc.
Mostly relating to Glenure's legal affairs.
5 March, 1759. Re claims of Janet MacKay, relict of Colin Campbell of Glenure, on behalf of her daughters, which writer agrees are unreasonable, and does not think that Glenure should submit to having them crammed down his throat.
n.d. Containing a letter 13 January 1764, from Janet McKay, now Mrs. Hart, refusing to grant a discharge of Betty's expenses during her sickness and her funeral, as Mr. Hart, Betty's stepfather, has paid the whole of it; protests that £50 is not enough to cloth and educate the other two girls, 'if justice is done them'.
1782, September 11. New York. Reports death of Glenure's son, Captain Peter, in Long Island |
