'I got a copy of Ja. Steuart's Triall as almost every one in this cuntry has done, and people think of it as they affect. For my own part I am fully Convinced that his guilt was greater than appears by the triall, And that he deserv'd to dye (if it was possible) a thousand Deaths for Glenure's Murder, he being the Originall, excuse and the occasion of it'.
