Description |
1746, September 29. Had been sent on expedition to Mull by orders of Newcastle to search for Young Pretender [Bonnie Prince Charlie], but 'had not the least ground to think that he was ever in that island'.
1747, October 7. Lochgoyll. 'The Duke of (Argyll) has had the honour to lye here last night and be storm stayd all this day which he bears easiest of any in the company'.
1749, March 14. Containing account between writer and Duke of Argyll re building a house on Tyrie [Tyree] for Argyll's factor, from some shipwrecked timber.
1749, December 27. Containing rental of Fyard and Achinard, crop 1747.
