Letters of Advocation at the instance of Patrick Crawfurd of Auchinames and his wife and son against Alexander Cuninghame of Craganis and his spouse, narrating that the latter have raised letters before the Commissaries of Glasgow charging Crawfurd to fulfil the terms of a Contract, but the complainers allege that this is done merely to 'draw the said compleneris within our citie of Glasgow, within and about the quhilk James Cwninghame of Glengarnok his haill kin freindis and dependeris 'duellis and resortis, to the effect that they may the better effectuate the gret mallice and deidlie feid borne be thame againis the saids compleners mair nor notour to the Lordis of our Counsall' - and therefore desiring the case to be tried before the Lords of Council |
