Title |
Contract dated at Craignargit and registered at Edinburgh 22 Sept. 1615, between Sir John Dunbar of Mochrum, Alexander Dunbar, his son and heir apparent, with consent of Dame Elizabeth Kennedy spouse to the said Sir John on the one part, and Alexander Hay lawful son to Thomas Hay of Park on the other part, whereby for the sum of 12,000 merks paid by Hay the Dunbars are to infeft him in the 5 merkland of Culgroit with a croft of land of St. John called Altecoige, adjacent thereto, the 5 merkland of Glentriploch in the parish of Clachant and in the £5 land of Arewland and 5 merkland of Schang in the parish of Mochrum. The annuals were to be paid at the dwelling house of Alexander McDowell now indweller in Craignargit |
