Title |
Crown Charter in favour of Patrick Makdowell of Logane of all the lands of Logane in Galloway and in the sheriffdom of Wigton which belonged to the said Patrick to be held in albe ferme in heredity; rendering yearly common suit at our court at Wigton with service of ward and relief; "and further because it is clearly shown by a certain retour that the said lands were held in albe ferme and then on account of defect of ancient charters the said Patrick took new infeftment", the Crown confirms all alienations by Patrick or his predecessors to any body whilst the lands were in albe ferme |
