Title |
Bond of relief, registered at Edinburgh 7th March, 1688, by Patrick McDowell of Logan with Robert McDowell younger of Logan as cautioner, to James McCulloch of Glenshanks (sic) who had disponed to Patrick the 33/4d. lands of Glenshanks and the 5 merklands of Porterarchie (sic) in the parish of Kirkmadin, to warrant McCulloch at the hands of several named persons who held bonds on that property, viz. - Robert Cathcart brother to Mr. William Cathcart of Genoch Thomas Altoun in Craigmell, James McDowell now of Craige "my brother" and Mr. John Birnie minister at Caerlaverock.
