Description |
Wit:- James Aikine in Ronchous, John Halliday Robert Foular and Alex. McNaught in Keltoun and Robert McQuhittinthest (?) in Culquha.
The Inventory shows that the above William Maxwell on 27 Aug. 1643 disponed this wadset right to his brother George Maxwell of Munsches (Reg. of Deeds 1 Feb. 1644) who conveyed it to his son George on 8 May, 1660. In 1704 George Maxwell of Munsches disponed this wadset as well as the lands of Slognaw to Robert Johnston of Kelton whose daughter Ann Johnston married John McDowall of Logan. Ann disponed to Mr. Andrew McDowall advocate, afterwards Lord Bankton. |
