Title |
Disposition by Sir John McDowell of Garthland to Alexander McDowell of Logane his superior, of the 7½ merkland of Elrig, Ballingoun and Marroch and the miln of Tarralie in the parish of Kirkmadin, so that the said Alexander might consolidate the property with the superiority of the said lands: with precept directed to Andrew Hog writer in Edin. to resign the lands into the hands of the said superior. And inasmuch as Sir John had wadset the lands for 2,000 merks to Quintin McDowell in Elrig, the said Alexander is to give Sir John acquittance thereof by redeeming the same from Quintin.
