Title |
Renunciation by John Kennedy of Creichane in favour of John McDowell of Logane, of the 4 merklands of Garrochtrie and 20/- lands of Over Grenane, wadset by the said John McDowell by contract dated at Elrig 28 May 1613 whereby Kennedy having sold Creichane to McDowell and his spouse, Jean Crauford and to Patrick McDowell their son and heir for 11,000 merks Scots for which sum Kennedy was infeft in security in the lands of Garrochtrie, Kirkbryde and Over Grenane extending to a £7 land; which wadset was now redeemed by McDowell paying 2000 merks in complete payment of 6000 merks to Gilbert Kennedy of Arewlane, lawful son of the said John Kennedy as his cessioner and assignee |
