Archival history |
GD1/456/1-267 deposited by A M Orr Esq., 24 Auchmacloich Road, Rothesay, formerly headmaster of Rothesay Primary School. Additional McLea papers (GD1/456/268-310) were gifted to the Scottish Record Office in January 1992. They had been retrieved from Rothesay Council Chambers by A B Linsay, formerly Town Clerk of Rothesay, and given to the forementioned A M Orr Esq. Mr Orr passed this group of documents to Mrs A Swainston, a member of the McLea family, who in turn gave them to P Stanbury, Director of the MacLeay Museum, University of Sydney. Mr Stanbury reunited these papers with the rest of the collection in January 1992. |
