Tummel Bridge (and Rannoch) Free Church began with a congregation formed at Tummel Bridge at the Disruption and the sanctioning of a charge in 1844. A church was built at Tummel Bridge in the same year and a meeting house at Rannoch in 1847 (replaced by a church, 1856). It passed successively to the United Free Church, as Tummel Bridge and Kinloch Rannoch, and to the Church of Scotland, as Kinloch-Rannoch St Luke's. The Tummelbridge portion united with Foss in 1932 and the Kinloch Rannoch portion with Kinloch-Rannoch Old as Kinloch-Rannoch in 1936. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Dunkeld and the synod of Perth and Stirling. |
