Edinburgh, South Morningside Free Church began with services in Morningside Drive Hall in 1889, leading to the sanctioning of a charge in the same year. The first minister was inducted in 1890 and a church built in 1892. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, and united with Edinburgh St Matthew's as Edinburgh Cluny in 1974. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. |
