Durrisdeer Free Church began as a preaching station under Penpont, but in 1847 it became a 'presbyterial mission', serving the parishes of Durrisdeer and Crawford. It passed to the United Free Church, but always as a mission station, and united with Durrisdeer Parish Church in 1929. The United Free charge was in the presbytery of Dumfries and Penpont and the synod of Dumfries and Galloway. |
