Perth, New Row Mission (St Paul's Free Church) began in 1879 as the New Row Mission, in a church vacated by St Stephen's Free Church. The charge was sanctioned as Perth St Paul's in 1881. It passed successively to the United Free Church, with a new church building opened in 1901, and to the Church of Scotland, as St Columba's, which united with Perth St Leonard's under that name in 1944. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Perth and the synod of Perth and Stirling. |
