Clydebank West Free Church was formed as a mission in the western part of the town by Clydebank Hamilton Memorial Free Church in 1896. The separate charge was sanctioned in 1897. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, and united with Clydebank St James's as Clydebank Abbotsford in 1974. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Dumbarton and the synod of Clydesdale. |
